The FLEX-6600 SDR tranceiver from FlexRadio is designed for the Ham who wants to operate the radio exclusively as a server from PC, laptop, Maestro, Mac, or iOS clients ā€” whether local or remote. Both models share the same game-changing band awareness, industry-leading phase noise performance/ receiver dynamic range, and brick wall filters to give you the advantage in the most competitive DXing or contesting activities while maximizing your fun in casual operations. With a PC, laptop, or Mac client, you can utilize up to four 14 MHz spectrum/waterfall displays and independent band/mode receivers to revolutionize your view of the bands, especially on digital modes. Antenna Tuner is included.

Contest grade filters, ultra-low spurious emissions, and the ability to operate full duplex cross band on two antennas let you transmit on one band while receiving on another ā€” no external equipment required. Even switch to synchronous diversity reception when needed to help you pick out the weak ones in the midst of QRM. By adding FlexRadioā€™s new Power Genius XLā„¢ LDMOS solid-state amplifier a complete legal limit, all mode SO2R station is now practical with one radio, one amp and only three interconnect cables ā€” half the cost and none of the complexity.

FlexRadioā€™s industry-leading SmartSDRā„¢ software offers compatibility across the entire FLEX-6000 Signature Series family to deliver continuous leveraged software enhancement. And you can use the latest SmartLinkā„¢ technology to access your radio virtually anywhere from any SmartSDR compatible client with only a login and password ā€” even your iPhone.

I had a few Flex transceivers in the past: SDR1000 + Edirol FA66 Firewire sound card, FLEX-1500, and FLEX-3000. The last one I’ve had the longest of all. I also had a SunSDR2 PRO for a few months (purchased in your shop). It was a nice, small SDR rig, but the FLEX-6600 is ahead with great hardware solutions and software: SmartSDR, virtual COMs, DAX, and SmartLink.

I’m not an HF contester, my major interest is Moonbounce. Currently, I’m active in EME on 70cm to 13cm with a homemade 6.4m dish. Recently, I obtained a 3m solid dish for EME operations on 6cm/3cm. The biggest advantage of the FLEX-6600 for me is its transverter operation support. With two independent transverter ports and two Spectrum Capture Units, it offers great capabilities for simultaneous operations on 1296MHz and 10GHz. The new microwave transverter modules from DB6NT can switch the IF to 28MHz and 50MHz. SmartSDR software is very useful for TRV operations.

My first impression is that my new FLEX-6600 is simply amazing!

    73!
