Performance Notes & Setup Guidance

The operating profile can be selected at power-up. Hold the microphone PTT while powering on the radio to enter band selection, then select between BR, 10M, 12H, CB and HF. Available frequencies and permitted transmit modes depend on the selected profile and local regulations.

For best performance, use a correctly installed 50 Ω antenna system and verify the antenna SWR before extended transmission. The manufacturer advises keeping SWR below 1.8:1. Route the coaxial cable away from vehicle power wiring where practical and avoid pinching or sharply bending either the coax or DC cable.

The radio operates from 12–13.8 V DC negative ground. For mobile installations, verify that vehicle charging voltage does not exceed 16 V DC. A direct, correctly fused battery connection can help minimise voltage drop and conducted electrical noise.
